S.W.I.M. ProgramThe Aquatic Adventures S.W.I.M. program is designed for children ages 4 and up. With a focus on safety and proper stroke mechanics — children will learn to become strong, confident swimmers. Groups are small, no more than 5 per class, in order to provide individual attention to children.
What do they learn?Seal – The foundation for all swimming skills must begin with: comfort, survival skills, and proper body alignment for skill development. Instructors will focus on the basics, floating, gliding, face in the water, etc., in preparation for stroke development.
Walrus – Independence and confidence are built with introduction to stroke development, breath control, and kicking skills. Ice Fish – Endurance and strength are a focus as children begin to learn the more technical aspects of Freestyle, Back Stroke and efficiency in the water.

Children who complete the four levels of S.W.I.M. will thrive as confident recreational swimmers. They will have the ability to swim 100 yards freestyle and back stroke with an understanding of water safety.
Macaroni Plus - Children in the Macaroni Penguin level who show readiness, will be introduced to Breast Stroke and Butterfly in preparation for Polar Bear clinic or swim team.
